"Grand Finale" - The Jump

Famous Road Trip blurbs : FFS, You can take a pedi-cab - is only 5 bucks, YAYYY!!, Yeeha!, Wipe that &*#^% smile off your (&^%$ face, your cracking my b*lls, "YOU KNOW WHY!" Breaker 1 9 - whats the 20 on the ..... lol.

We had loads of fun on this road trip. We would like to thank all those that followed our blog, over 100- 200 page views per day. Fantastic.

We had a blast. It is a relatively easy journey and the recipe is to have good company, good music, share the driving, be honest, laugh a whole lot and enjoy the country. Oh and always be prepared for long hauls between exits. Gas is essential at all times, lol.
Our special thanks to Anne, Jimmy and Robbie for sharing their homes, friends, family and town. We really had a great time with you guys. And Jimmy thanks for the Corvette I love it~! lol
What was in our car? Water, Coffee, Vitamin water, laptop, camera, video camera, cell phone, maps, gps, chex mix, nuts, potato chips, sour patch gummy worms, 30 or more CD's, cooler, luggage, and fun. In the trunk? Vodka, diet coke, wine, lemons and smokes. haha. Everything legal. We stopped at the Grand Canyon on our way home to contemplate our drive off. But lo and behold, Judy chickened out. Just like the kiddie ride at Disney.
The most rewarding part of this trip is -- it was a motivator and a reminder of whats important, who is important and to value every day we have on earth. Be proud to be American. It really changed our views on our own lives for the better.
Life does not get any longer so make sure you take a chance, embrace a friend, laugh always and stop every now and then to enjoy this beautiful country even if it is your own back yard. We will forever remember this experience.

Attached is a video of the "random road" which I shot out the window as we drove. Unfortunately I had some technical difficulties when we left so I only have mainly the Southwest footage. You can see what we saw along the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEIlxzzUPCI

Thelma and Louise - OUTLAWS!!

Ok, so we are driving along enjoying the scenery. Mohavi Desert..miles and miles of it. Judy does not do anything slow you see. She canters a horse, she rides the Matterhorn, and Thunder Mountain (not kiddie rides like the astro orbit, lol), and has a teeny tiny teensie weensy ..little oh so slight...lead foot.

NO high tech for her. She likes the old fashioned GPS (direction in mirror) and not the state of the art, never get lost GPS I have! OK not perfectly accurate but gets you at least to the vicinity of your location. She defy's gravity. She can ride like the wind. She can race a train. She is faster than the speed of light. Yes Judy, moves. And lo and behold, Objects in mirror do appear closer. We could not get to Shinarump fast enough. Think out loud, when was the last time you had your rump shined? I can't recall. So heck, the purpose of the trip was to experience new things Right? . ...and then, Suddenly we pass a Smokey. Dammit. ..and then Flashing lights. We tried to out run him but came upon on convoy. lol woops.... Over to my window he comes. "I'm just the passenger officer i say!!"

PULL OVER. sigh...License and registration? Ma'am? are you Judy? Step out of the car!! woah. Step out of the car? is that not scary? I look at Judy she looks at me and I say, you think we can take him? Do you know how fast you were going? Well no not really, we were disputing if the mountains on the left side actually had snow on the top or was it sand. ...and well Jules is always right because she knows everthing and she is a genious. lol

As he was preparing to write the ticket, Judy says, "we are on a road trip cross country and blogging it the whole way." Would you like to be in our blog? Whats a blog? (explanation). Yes, tell your friend (taking pics through the mirror, lol) she can also step out of the car and take pictures. lol ...Everybody is a star!! woot woot and a yeeha. You bet we had fun with this opportunity! He did everything in his power not to smile. but you can detect a smirk or two.

Well, In Connecticut the posted speed limit says 65 and 75 is acceptable. Yikes, 86 in a 75 is a criminal offense in Arizona...for those of you that plan to travel. No cushion, 1 mile over is a ticket. eeeks. No criminal charge I must add because everybody is a star. lol. Time to take the kiddie ride Judy. lol. Or take the cliff route Louise! (He was pleasant enough at the time but we fail to find her license since). Guess I am driving. Hows that cruise control working? Prolly too hight tech for Judy. Onward HO!

Today's Adventure

So let me get this straight. Judy gets Jules on a horse, and then to ride the Matterhorn (roller coaster in disguise- and Thunder Mountain (another Roller coaster in disguise) then why when we got on the rockets that go smoothly maybe 50 feet in the air, breeze blowing through your hair, great view of the park ...does Judy jump out of her rocket and run and I mean RUN, for the exit. Is it me?? lol.

Yes we went to Disneyland today. The happiest place on earth. For those of you that have never been there here are some pics. We spent the whole day there happy as can be and may go back for the fireworks tonight.

Disney rides are always visual. One ride we went on that everyone said is a must see was Indiana Jones. WOW. you ride a jeep and the visuals are incredible right down to the rolling rock comin at ya. Peter Pan is another that gives you the feel of flying through the stars way high in the sky. Oh and who is the girly girl? We rode Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story and you get to shoot lazers at the visuals and you get a score. Judy got 58,100 to my 8100. lol. I suck. haha. Oh well. After I got done crying over it that is when she ran from the rockets. haha

We ate a light lunch and walked and walked. The scenerey is always beautiful. By far Disney is always the happiest place on earth (with tons of screaming babies.) lol. Just kidding. Was a great day. Enjoy the photos. :-)

Imperial Beach - Talking to Strangers

I did not know how this parking trinket worked but Judy did. It was so low tech I could not wrap my head around it. lol.

Ok so how many times were we warned never to talk to Strangers? We drove to Coronado over the bridge and then to Imperial beach. Started off as a quiet scenic day. Suddenly, we heard a guitar, and then another and saw this cute little bar called The Plank. It was warm and sunny inside, had closed walls and an open roof, lots of seats. We were the first two there but that only lasted a short time when the music was playing. This little garage band called Triple Shot played all the music we love from the 70's and 80's. At times they had open mic allowing other singers to join. I tried to get Judy up there but she was having too much fun talking to strangers. So then I did too. Everyone in the bar was very into hearing all about our trip. Apparently we were obviously East Coast girls. Everyone wanted to be in our blog. In the pics are Mike, Guy, Lori and the Diva girls sitting behind us at the table. You might even spot YOKO ONO. lol. Strangers are fun and if you follow the rule never talk to them, you will never know some of the silliest coolest people and their stories. A stranger gave me the shirt off his bar stool becaust it was getting cold and I was freezing. lol. The pictures are just ok since most were taken by the strangers. hehe

This band was so cool and we had a lot of fun. Gotta love those garage bands. Packing up today to the next adventure. Not tired yet!!!
